Spa Shell

Spa Shell

The spa shell is a designed and shaped form that you sit in, and the most important component of any hot tub. Other parts can be replaced in a hot tub, but the shell cannot. Our ABS-backed acrylic spa shells are engineered for strength, durability, and are easy to maintain.

They keep their good looks Grand Lakes Spas has a hot tub to fit your needs –  Each seat has be ergonomically designed to fit the contours of your body. Many of our spas feature deeper foot wells for comfort and spaciousness. Built in safety features like steps and lighting are part of every spa we make. We add in luxurious touches, like soft touch controls, adjustable jets and massage levels and drink holders. Our shell design and durability can't be beat.

Patented Dura Bond™

Grand Lakes Spa shells are manufactured with a patented, four-layer strengthening process called DuraBond™.
This exclusive system combines the beauty of Lucite-Xtra™ acrylic with a layer of ABS for strength and integrity.
A layer of double-strengthening material called IsoBond is then applied. IsoBond has all the strength of a
fiberglass resin shell, with half the weight, and without the environmental concerns. The manufacturing process
s completed with a thick layer of insulating polyurethane foam on many Grand Lakes Spa models.

OZONATORS

All Grand Lakes Spas can be equipped with the Del Ozone Natural Spa Sanitizing System. This system utilizes

the latest ozone technology and injects ozone consisting of three oxygen atoms, directly into the spas water to

kill bacteria. The ozone sanitation is completely biodegradable and 100% natural with the only byproduct being

oxygen.

Ozone used in combination with a residual amount of Chlorine or Bromine can effectively provide a clean,

safe bacteria-free spa and dramatically reduce chemical use.

Insulation

insulation and efficiency

Polar Insulation™

USA Spas are built to withstand harsh, northern winters. Our system incorporates insulating Polystyrene panels with an additional layer of reflective Thermofoil as well as reflective Thermofoil insulation on the floor which seals the cabinet from outside air infiltration. As a bonus of this excellence in insulation techniques, the dead air space within the closed spa cabinet forms an insulating barrier to help maintain spa water temperature. This is the same insulating principle as found in the construction of insulating thermos bottles. The bottom of the spa is sealed with a moisture proof material to further protect and insulate. Your spa is fitted with a thick hard cover, which can also be locked in place for safety. We recommend the thicker, highly insulating covers for colder climates.

Energy Saver System™

USA Spas looks for ways to make our spas more environmentally friendly. We use a special energy saving system that reduces energy consumption, which helps you save money at the same time. Unlike full-foam spas that need to vent off motor-generated heat, the heat produced by the mechanical equipment is not vented away in a USA Spa - it is contained, recycled, and reused. As water moves through the lines toward the jets it draws air with it (an action termed venturi).

This air is taken from the pocket created by the Polar Insulation on the shell and cabinet. Not only is this warm air recycled and used to warm the water in your jets, but it also helps to maintain the water temperature! Full foam spas have ventilation openings in the cabinet, which allow the warm air to escape. Those holes in the cabinet also allow insects and critters to get inside your spa. Our spas are full paneled with additional perimeter insulation around the entire cabinet keeping warm air inside the spa and saving you energy and money.

Thermal Spa Cover
A durable, lockable barrier from the elements provides money saving thermal protection along with safety and security when spa in not in use. Your spa cover will accent your cabinet color to complete the stylish look of your spa.

filtration

Filtration
QCA_Spas_Filter.tif

Grand Lakes Spas are designed with optimum water filtration in mind. Filter media in each Grand Lakes Spa is selected to exceed the filtration requirements to maintain clean and clear spa water. Grand Lakes Spas top-load filter systems allow for easy access to the filter cartridge for cleaning or replacement. Bulky filter canisters can take up precious hot tub space and also force the hot tub owner to drag a dirty filter sideways back through the spa, allowing filtered contaminants to reenter the water. A top-load filter allows for vertical removal of the cartridge filter element and also takes up less space in the spa. Easy access, quality filter media and an optimally sized filtration system makes hot tub filter maintenance simple.

You can buy replacement Grand Lakes Spa filters online or from your local Grand Lakes Spa dealer. Filtration cycles are controlled by industry leading Balboa electronics. During a filter cycle, spa jets automatically turn on and water is pumped through the filter media at predetermined times during the day to keep spa water pure and clean. Grand Lakes Spas properly designs and sizes each spa's filtration system based on decades of research unlike other spa companies so you don't end up having to clean or replace 2 or even 3 or more filter cartridges. By assuring the surface area of the filter for each Grand Lakes Spas hot tub is sized correctly based on a particular spa's water volume, number of jets, flow rate per jet and other factors, a single cartridge filter keeps replacement costs low and maintenance a breeze.

Cartridge filter products are not only used in spas but also in much larger pools indicating the suitability of using cartridge filters to keep water clean indoors or outdoors. When sourcing replacement cartridge filters, be sure to order the correct sq.ft. size filter by measuring the actual filter length, diameter and center hole diameter. With these measurements, it is easy to order replacement cartridge filters online or through your authorized Grand Lakes Spa dealer. You can also buy Grand Lakes Spa accessories, water treatment products and parts online. The installation of the filter is as easy as removing the existing filter and installing the new one. The filter should be cleaned regularly and replaced every year or so depending on hot tub use. Removal of the cartridge filter may involve rotating and removing a protective filter cover to access the filtration compartment. Enjoy ultimate relaxation in your Grand Lakes Spa hot tub!

Energy Efficient, Maintenance-Free, Beautiful Weather Guard Cabinets

Grand Lakes Spas has always looked for ways to improve every aspect of the spas we build. That is why we now feature beautiful, maintenance-free spa cabinets. Our energy efficient cabinets are made from UV inhibited combined plastics with the beautiful look of fine wood furniture. Best of all, the cabinets maintain their beauty over time and in all weather. The cabinets provide a thermal-insulation barrier for the spa to help protect it and make it more energy efficient. Your spa will resist fading, rotting and insects. We proudly offer a 10 year warranty on our spa cabinets*. Easily access your equipment and spa drain by removing the cabinet door panel. The panel should remain locked during use for safety reasons. Scratches don't show up easily on your cabinet since the color goes all the way through. If you should manage to scratch or damage one side, simply reverse the panels for a look like new. The cabinet is sealed with a moisture proof bottom to keep air and water from coming in through the undersection of the spa.

Weather Guard™

Weather Guard™ is the industry's best, maintenance-free spa cabinet. Weather Guard™ is available in two colors: Mahogany or Coastal Grey, and is fade resistant with built-in UV-inhibitors. Unlike other poly-plastic cabinets in the market today that are thin and flimsy resulting in warping and fading, a Grand Lake Spa Weather Guard™ cabinet is constructed of strong and durable polystyrene that won't crack, splinter or peel. This material is similar to high-end vinyl windows for your home. And since it replaces the wood of most spa cabinets, Weather Guard™ is termite, moisture, and rot resistant and 214% more rigid than wood. Weather Guard™ is energy efficient too - 62% more than traditional wood!
